Usability
The study of usability Eldy was made by the Faculty of Psychology, University of Padua,Center for Cognitive Science by analyzing the eye movement of a sample of elderly people who Eldy.
The period of observation, l'usage mouse-log and walkthrough showed that cognitive:
– Eldy is generally easier to use, except in some parts.
– The difficulties encountered by the elderly are due to non-recognition of certain commands or icons.
The evaluation has clarified that the difficulties encountered by the elderly are not simply due to an inadequate understanding of the text and images, but, even more interesting, to unfamiliarity with some specific procedures that are commonly used in interaction interface. Overall it was found that Eldy reached its objective and the solutions proposed to address the problems associated with aging are valuable.
